EasyOCR walkthrough

Follow these steps to convert your files into Markdown with perfect structure.

Step 1: Prepare files

  1. Supported formats: PDF, PNG, JPG, and WEBP with a 20 MB per-file limit.
  2. Use clear, well-lit scans—avoid heavy compression artifacts.
  3. For mobile photos, crop borders and deskew to improve recognition accuracy.

Step 2: Upload and configure

  1. Drag files into the uploader or click “Browse files” to select them.
  2. Choose your preferred output—Markdown or plain text.
  3. Pick a prompt template tailored to your layout (tables, multi-column articles, etc.).

Step 3: Monitor progress

Once submitted, tasks run asynchronously. The progress panel shows overall completion while individual file cards update status in real time. Timeouts or failures include detailed error messages for quick diagnosis.

Step 4: Collect results

  1. Preview the generated Markdown inside the results viewer.
  2. Click “Copy text” for a quick clipboard copy or “Download file” for an .md/.txt export.
  3. Organize batch outputs as needed before archiving or sharing.

Best practices

  • Use the “Table” template for spreadsheets, invoices, and receipts to maximize accuracy.
  • Review failure messages and reduce concurrency if your OCR server is under heavy load.
  • Automate post-processing with scripts or downstream Markdown tooling for large batches.
